Children & Family

Children’s Photography (4 weeks upwards)

Photographs of your children can be captured at any age. Your photography session is always relaxed and centred around movement and play rather than posing.

Family groups are welcome, including your pets, and photographic sessions can be arranged either in the Studio or on location.

Studio Photography Session: £30

Your Session includes:

Your session normally lasts approximately one hour though I allow plenty of time to ensure we will not be rushed!

The Studio is generally open Tuesday to Friday with some Saturday appointments available.

At the end of your photography session we will take some time to discuss the presentation options for your finished photographs and you will have the opportunity to view the samples in the Studio gallery.

Your photographs will then be revealed at a separate viewing appointment, usually one week after your session.

As a guide to pricing, my clients generally choose to spend anywhere from £160 up to about £600.

An option to purchase your complete collection of photographs on USB is available for £335.

A full Pricing and Product Guide is available by request. Please get in touch via the ‘Contact‘ page or by calling the Studio on 01642 211839 and I will send a PDF version to your email address.

What to expect from your photography session:

What kind of photographs will you take?

My sessions aim to capture a full range of expressions from your little one to build a picture of their personality at each stage of development. This requires patience, flexibility and interaction so it’s important your session is not rushed! You can expect a relaxed atmosphere and there will be no awkward poses.

I will create a variety of photographs for you with different backgrounds and lighting, feel free to bring a change of clothes and some of your child’s favourite things to make your session more personal.

If you are coming as a family I will work with you to capture your full family group as well as any smaller group combinations such as your children together, separately, with their grandparents etc.

Where would the photographs be taken?

I recommend a Studio shoot for babies under 12 months, other than that the choice is yours. Most of my clients choose to come along to my Studio in Middlesbrough as there is plenty of space, free parking and no need to worry about the weather!

I do work on location all year round and sessions at the beach are very popular. Feel free to get in touch for advice, I’ll be happy to discuss your options and recommend the best type of session to suit you.

How do we view and order our photographs?

The gallery in my studio displays samples of each presentation option allowing you to choose your finished photographs with confidence.

At the end of your photography session we will make a further appointment for you to come back to the Studio, usually the following week, to view your photographs. I do not employ a sales team, so the photographs you order are entirely your choice.

How do we book you?

You can contact me via the ‘Contact’ page here on the website or call me at the Studio on 01642 211839. I’ll be happy to answer any questions and check availability.

In order to secure each booking, payment of your session fee £30 is taken in advance. This payment is non-refundable, though it may be transferable should you need to rearrange. Please note; you must provide at least 48hrs notice.
